The magic carpets are follower pets. Two variants can be unlocked by completing the Golden Path Challenge, and four by gaining tier 10 reputation in each different faction in Menaphos.
Having a magic carpet summoned while training skills will occasionally produce a cloud of divine carpet dust. This effect requires 330,000 overall Menaphos reputation.
Variants [edit | edit source]
The golden version of the pet was received if the player made sufficient progress in the challenge before 21 May 2017. Other versions of the pet are available for achieving maximum reputation with all factions in Menaphos.
Unlocking the basic variant from Golden Path Challenge prompts the message: "You have unlocked the Golden Path carpet pet!". Unlocking the golden variant prompts, in addition to above: "You have also unlocked the Golden Path golden carpet pet! Golden!"
Unlocking the basic variant from Golden Path Challenge is required for the title, Sandy [Name].

- The examine text is a reference to the song "A Whole New World" from Disney's animated movie Aladdin .
- The symbols on the basic and golden versions of the pet spell out "Golden Path".
- Approximately 1,400 players unlocked the golden version of the magic carpet when it was available.[1]
