The Advanced Accelerator Physics and Avant-garde Radiographic Technologies departments are seeking experienced physicists or research engineers to join a dynamic team conducting pulsed power technologies and systems research! Qualifications We Crave
PhD in technology, physics, or a related field and 5 years' related experience or a Master's in a related field and 10 years' experience
Experience in pattern and fielding of pulsed-ability components and systems
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoE Q clearance

Experience in developing the science and engineering foundations of pulsed power using experimental, analytical, or computational skills

About Our Squad
The Pulsed Ability Accelerator Science and Technology Group (1650) invents, develops, builds, tests, and improves pulsed power systems for a wide range of national security missions for the country. We develop innovative pulsed power architectures for multiple missions requiring high voltages and high electric current accelerators. Nosotros are also developing the pulsed power science basis for energy storage, insulation, switching, and vacuum ability flow. We will apply these developments to achieve increased performance from Z and to pattern next-generation drivers such equally the side by side Z, high-voltage electron beam sources, precision dynamic materials drivers, inertial solitude fusion drivers, and high-current warm X-ray sources.
